Adam MacMillan-Scott MBE is an Army veteran, a Senior Practitioner with the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), and a member of the International Boys’ Schools Coalition (IBSC). He is also an accredited ADHD/AuDHD coach and an Associate with the Career Transition Partnership, where he continues to support the military community.
In the past four years, Adam has expanded his work to include both independent and state schools, recognizing a clear need for specialized resources and support, particularly in the area of neurodiversity. He works closely with students who find academic challenges or school life in general difficult, collaborating with both schools and parents to ensure that these students receive a comprehensive understanding of their unique needs. Adam tailors his approach, including support for Special Educational Needs (SEN), to help each child thrive.
Currently, Adam is leading an initiative to pilot coaching and mentoring support in schools across Dorset/Wiltshire and Hertfordshire. This program, which involves qualified coaches and mentors working with teenagers at a critical stage, aims to address issues such as imposter syndrome, anxiety, lack of confidence, and low self-esteem. The initiative seeks to offer students the motivation and guidance they need to succeed and flourish.
