On our recent school tours, we visited Lancing College in West Sussex. Commanding a stunning hilltop location on the South Downs, it’s 90ft beautiful Victorian Gothic Chapel can be seen from afar. Lancing is a co-educational day and boarding school for children aged 13-18 but is also part of a family of schools which includes Lancing Prep Hove, Lancing Prep Worthing as well as Little Lancing Day Nursery. The school is ideally located as only 50 miles from London with excellent transport links to Heathrow and Gatwick Airports and the south of England.
EXCELLENT ACADEMIC RECORD AND ENVIABLE SPORTING REPUTATION
We were shown round by two delightful Sixth formers who clearly were very happy at the school and felt very much part of the Lancing community. One was an international boarder and the other a UK boarder and so for us it was super being able to chat with them to hear about their boarding experience. Lancing is a mid-size school of about 600 with an academic reputation. Sport, drama, music are all very strong here and in addition the school has its own working farm, Equestrian Centre, CCF, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Lancing College Swim Club which is a Swim England Affiliated Club.
